PhilmSound is located in the Screen Australia Studios at Lindfield – on the north side of the city of Sydney. The Studio Lot is a buzzing cluster of dozens of Independent companies producing a major proportion of Australian Film & Television output. The site is in a beautiful bush setting, 5 minutes from the business and retail centre of Chatswood. Amongst the many facilities and plentiful free parking, there is a 200 seat Dolby® Digital Theatre (double-head capable).
People seem to enjoy the natural light with bush outlook and have commented on how it takes away that clostrophobic 'cave feeling' common in post-production. Every room was custom designed by Phil Judd and is a testament to his expertise and understanding of the industry. Little extra touches, like ergonomic layout, 5.1 monitoring, pot plants, cosy lighting and opening windows, complement the technology under the desk.
