Sound post facility

All PhilmSound edit suites are fully equipped, stylish, comfortable and multi-functional.  The 15 room studio is designed to efficiently deliver World-class sound on Australian budgets. We understand the importance of making the many hours spent in post-production pleasurable. Producers, Directors and crew repeatedly comment on how easy it is to 'hang out' at PhilmSound. We like to treat clients like guests at home.  We temp them with yummy treats, good coffee, fresh air (set amongst the many trees) and plenty of close, free parking.

The Tools of Trade

PhilmSound is the largest Pro Tools facility in the Australia:

• The Dolby® Digital Mixing Theatre is 100% non-linear and has a 512 track capability
• The  5.1 Digital/Dolby® Stereo Television Mixing Suite is also 100% non-linear and has a 192 track capability
• 8 x Digital Sound Design Suites with 5.1 Surround Monitoring
• Foley done by the countries most awarded artists
• ADR (Post-sync dialogue) with space for a Loop-group up to 50 or so
• Server supplies over 65,000 sound FX to every suite
• Huge selection of Plug-Ins to tailor-make the 'right sound'
• All networked together for an efficient workflow to the final masters

• DigiDelivery, a safe, encrypted FTP site for large file transfer
• Source-Connect for global Pro Tools hook-up (great for O/S ADR)

Facility only hire (dry room)

Most productions prefer to rely on PhilmSound to put the best crew together for a film. But, if you have your own creative team and only need the studio space, the Dry-hire of any or all of the facilities is welcomed (we respect allegiance to personnel).
